Listen to the show :

We return to our popular "Scenes in Trek" series for the 12th time, this week tackling the "Top 5 Scenes in Engineering." From the warp core to the spore drive to the intermix chamber on any number of starships, this broad topic touches every corner of the Star Trek universe. Our expert panel of host Jim Moorhouse and guests Jenn Tifft and Beverly Falls give it everything they've got in relaying their picks, which include heavy-hitters and deep cuts in equal measure. Whether or not your antimatter containment system is fully regulated or not, this episode is a blast.

Episode Rundown:

- Prime Directive: We skip our Level One Diagnostic this week to jump straight into a break down of how everyone made their final picks.

- The Order of Things: Everyone reveals their picks with the usual "Five words and a hashtag" summary, along with one episode that helps frame their choice.

-- Secondary Systems: Our guests all rattle off a few additional selections for the picks that just missed our lists, including some picks hot off the press from the newest era of Trek!

- Regeneration Cycle: Everyone recaps their picks and we discuss one of the best statistical anomalies to ever come out of an episode of TrekRanks.

- Temporal Distortion: We flashback to a recent voicemail received with picks for our "Top 5 Spock Episodes," going back a few shows to Episode 134 of TrekRanks.

If you have your own picks you would like to relay to us, please hail us at 609-512-LLAP (5527) and record your own personal TrekRanks log to let us know your Top 5 Scenes in Engineering. (Or you can record it yourself and just DM us @TrekRanks on twitter.) Your comments could be used in a Temporal Distortion on an upcoming episode (and might get you a chance to be a guest on a future episode, too)..
