Listen to the show :

TrekRanks' one-of-a-kind "abstract series" returns in Episode 111 with a singular topic that literally stands alone. Its "Abstract One" on TrekRanks with our expert panel of host Jim Moorhouse and guests Abby Sommer and Chris Chaplin diving into a fun and broad topic that can be defined in a myriad of unique ways. This one covers a lot of territory - from TOS to Lower Decks and everything in between.

Episode Rundown:
- Level One Diagnostic Cycle: Our "abstract topics" literally are open to any interpretation, and that is on fully display in this diagnostic cycle.
- Prime Directive: Our panel discusses exactly how they approached the Abstract One topic and the different ways in which they each made the picks personal to them.
-The Order of Things: Everyone reveals their picks with the usual "Five words and a hashtag" summary, along with one episode that helps frame their choice.
-- Secondary Systems: Our guests each rattle off a few additional selections for the picks that just missed our lists.
- Regeneration Cycle: We recap all of our picks and discuss some of the interesting statistical anomalies that arose from the discussion.
- Temporal Distortion: We flashback all the way to episode 56 and relay a list from our episode on the Top 5 Shapes in Trek, which coincidentally served as our de factor first-ever abstract topic.

If you have your own picks you would like to relay to us, please hail us at 609-512-LLAP (5527) and record your own personal TrekRanks log to let us know your list of Abstract Ones. (Or you can record it yourself and just DM us @TrekRanks on Twitter.) Your comments could be used in a Temporal Distortion on an upcoming episode (and might get you a chance to be a guest on a future episode, too).
