Resistance is definitely not futile this week as we tackle our Top 5 Borg Episodes in the first of three shows previewing Star Trek: Picard, the seventh live action Trek series debuting in January 2020. The distinctiveness of our panels picks (featuring host Jim Moorhouse and guests Jen Howse and Rob Chapman) will be added to the collective of your hive mind as we breakdown the heavy hitters and the niche picks, making sure to leave no drone unturned.
This week's Level One Diagnostic Cycle that opens the show features each panelist's broad impression of the Borg and also sees Jim challenge each guest to choose their favorite Borg Queen. In the weekly Prime Directive each panelist breaks down exactly how they narrowed down their list and finalized their picks.
In The Order of Things, each of our guests revealed their Borg episodes with their "Five Words and a Hashtag Summaries." With only so many episodes to choose from, Jim, Jen and Rob hit on quite a few duplicate picks, but also surprise with a few deep cut selections amid so many classic episodes. And, as always, the picks get even more in depth when the crew calls up their Secondary Systems selections.
After a quick recap of all the picks in the Regeneration Cycle, the episode concludes with a visit into a Temporal Causality Loop as we flashback to Episode 69 and our Top 5 Nog Episodes, in celebration of Aron Eisenberg.
As always, make sure to hail us at 609-512-LLAP (5527) and record your own personal TrekRanks log to let us know your Top 5 Borg Episodes. Your comments might be used via a Temporal Causality Loop in an upcoming episode. And your recording might also be considered an audition to potentially host a future episode of TrekRanks!
