Our Scenes in Trek continues with our Top 5 Scenes on Location. Host Jim Moorhouse and frequent guest Alexander Perry are joined by legendary Star Trek historian John Tenuto for a topic that is tailor made for his expertise. The choices range from the epic to the subtle and the grandiose to the pragmatic. Both deep cut and iconic picks abound as we highlight some of the best location shoots in Star Trek history.
The show opens with a Diagnostic Cycle that defines a scene on location as basically any scene not shot on a standing set, so it could be as big as a location shoot in Jordan or a location shoot as an outdoor fountain on the Paramount lot. After a Prime Directive in which everyone reveals how they narrowed down their picks.
In The Order of Things the hosts unveil their "Five Word Summary and Hashtag" for each of their Top 5 Scenes on Location and the episode in which it appeared. The picks cover a vast spectrum of locations reflected throughout Trek.
With each host's Secondary Systems choices, the picks get even deeper and Jim briefly reviews some of the interesting statistical anomalies that emerged from their selections.
After a quick recap of all the picks in the Regeneration Cycle, the episode concludes with a visit into a Temporal Causality Loop as we flashback to Episode 57 and our Top 5 Underappreciated Characters.
