This week's show begins with our regular Diagnostic Cycle as each host picks an underappreciated character from outside of Star Trek. Then the Prime Directive portion of the show gets very interesting as each of guests breakdown the different ways in which they approached such an interesting topic. Some picks stay in-universe, with our hosts looking at characters who underappreciated inside the story, and some picks are very much out-of-universe, where the underappreciated nature of the characters is about fan reactions or how writers serviced them.
Ultimately, the picks from Jim, Heather and Rick in The Order of Things reveal some very interesting results and the conversation goes in some unexpected directions. In the end, the panel discussion is one of the most in-depth in TrekRanks history and maybe a little different from the normal episode. After a quick recap of all the picks in the Regeneration Cycle, the episode concludes with a visit into a Temporal Causality Loop as we flashback to Episode 52 and our Top 5 Scenes in a Brig!
