Originally released on November 10, 2022

Listen to the show :

Despite a bad ion storm affecting our recording, we are back with yet another episode of the Terran TrekRanks Podcast, your source for nitpicking and complaining about all things Star Trek. As we do every week (or at least in every episode that ends in "47"), we highlight a topic that allows us to really come down hard on all the things we dislike about Star Trek, and this week our panel of host Jim "Mirror" Moorhouse and guests Alex "Tiberius" Perry, Jenn "Regina Andor" Tifft and Carlos "Reliant" Miranda take aim at Trek's "Top 5 Ridiculous Choices." Listen to Terran TrekRanks and avoid the agony booth!

Episode Rundown:

• • Terran Rules: We jump straight into the Terran Rules on this episode (because in the Terran Empire, we don't waste time with Diagnostic Cycles and Prime Directives). Of course, the Terran Rules mean everyone starts their "Five words and a hashtag" summary and name one episode to help frame their "Ridiculous Choice."

• o Secondary Systems: Our guests detail a few additional selections for the picks that just missed our lists.

• • Regeneration Cycle: Everyone recaps their picks and we discuss some of the interesting statistical anomalies that arose from the discussion.

• • Temporal Distortion: We don't allow any Terran Dissident feedback on Terran TrekRanks, so in this week's Temporal Distortion we break down some historical perspectives through 147 episodes of TrekRanks.

If you have your own picks you would like to relay to us, please hail us at 609-512-LLAP (5527) and record your own personal TrekRanks log to let us know your Top 5 Ridiculous Choices for Terran TrekRanks. (Or you can record it yourself and just DM us @TrekRanks on Twitter.) Your comments could be used in a Temporal Distortion on an upcoming episode (and might get you a chance to be a guest on a future episode, too).

And don't forget to check out TrekRanks.com for our entire back catalog of episodes and a detailed rundown on every episode of Star Trek ever.
